Howdy !

I am a Brazilian-born, Austin-based Graphic Designer. As a creative person, I like to tell stories with my designs. I believe it’s essential to add a second layer, a fun twist, or a dynamic perspective to your work.

 –  500Level

2015-2020

DTG Production, Design, and Online Marketing.
500Level is an Austin-based company specialized in sports apparel and licensed by major player’s associations, including the NFLPA, NBPA, MLBPA, NHLPA, and WWE.

One of the biggest challenges of working in a small and fast-growing company is the need to wear many hats. During over five years working at 500Level, I had the opportunity to contribute to every aspect of an online apparel company, including client relations, fulfillment, product development, and quality control. I also attended national conferences and researched new technologies and processes to help the company grow.

DTG Production

  • I trained Operators, performed regular maintenance and troubleshooting on Brother GT-3 DTG machines.
  • Worked with a developer to create a user-friendly and easy-to-access database for pre-ripped AR3’s (Brother’s proprietary files). Automating the printing process (previously done via Photoshop), and eliminating errors.
  • Developed a batching system that automatically triggers print files based on .CSV exports from Shipping easy. Also designed a companion Google Apps application to track orders and productivity.
  • My experience with quality control, workflow development, and the systems I built led me to supervise production while working as a bridge between the design department and production.

Design and Art Direction.

500Level has an extensive catalog with over 300 athletes and 120 players’ storefronts, in addition to their main sales channels (500level.com and Amazon). As a designer, my main focus at 500Level was improving time efficiency and scalability, creating automated realistic mockups, web assets, and Social Media posts.

  • Used data-driven graphics in Photoshop to replicate simple yet effective typographic designs for each player in every major sports league and created custom-made merchandise for other clients
  • Worked on online marketing by designing and sending newsletters, working on audience segmentation, and developing custom templates using gifs to improve our CTOR.
  • As a senior designer, my role was not only to help coordinate the creation of artwork by overseas artists but also to create the storefronts and their assets.

 –  Bombsheller

2014

Print Design
Bombsheller (Now Komposite) is a Seattle-based online store specialized in custom made-to-order leggings.

Bombsheller was a marketplace for artists to upload their art and collect a percentage per garment sold. My designs rapidly became bestsellers, such as “Titania”, which won the best design of 2014. Due to this success, I started working as a contractor creating prints for fitness personalities and companies such as Ana Forrest Yoga and Girls RXed.

 –  Dream

2013

Print Design
I was fortunate to collaborate with the fashion designer to develop capsule collections. The playful ethos of the brand allowed me to experiment with multiple illustration techniques and perfect my rapport & repeat skills.

Dreams was a startup company based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I specialized in design for accessories as well as designing surface patterns for leggings with creative prints targeting young adults, the fastest growing market in Brazil at that time.

 –  OM.ART (Osklen Group)

2011

Junior Graphic Designer
I worked directly with the fashion director to create mood boards and to design prints for Runway shows as well as for commercial products. I also worked with the marketing team to design promotional materials, including catalogs, billboards, and newsletters.
OM.art is the subsidiary art studio of the Osklen group, which is home to Brazil’s top luxury fashion brand, Osklen. I primarily worked as a graphic designer for the subsidiary brand New Order as well as for its sister company Osklen.

 –  Graduated

2010

B.A in Visual Communication in emphasis in Marketing
I graduated with an A+ final project, a two semester project that involved creating an apparel sub-brand for Converse. Additionally, I conducted market research and developed a penetration strategy for the Brazilian Market. The second part of the project involved designing a sample collection and brand identity. This project resulted in a recommendation that led me to work at the Osklen group.

Bachelor’s program at E.S.P.M. (Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing)
E.S.P.M. is a very ‘hands on’ program, which allowed me to work on real life projects while also developing my knowledge of marketing, psychology (semiotics), and ethnography.
